How To Send Service Books To Blackberry With WOW Mobile

Setting up the blackberry email service on WOW Mobile is very easy to do. I am assuming at this point the voice and text side of your phone works and you are just looking to set up your email. Below you will find both text and video instructions on how to send service books to your blackberry through your TMobile back office. Service books will be sent immediately and your email should start working. Make sure to check other WOW Mobile Blackberry phone setup instructions to make sure your blackberry is configured properly for the WOW Mobile TMobile network.

Step 1. Go to www.my.tmobile.com -create account or login

Step 2: Scroll down and locate phone number on your left. To the right of your #, there will be a big open space with a link that says something like "choose your phone mode or device" click that,

Step 3: If your phone is in there, click it. If not, click the closest looking phone.

Step 4. After that, on the right side, it says "Set up your Blackberry internet email"

Step 5. Then you click "Set up mail" on the next screen

Step 6. Next, on the bottom left, click service books and make sure to send service books. that should do the trick

The purpose of this FAQ is to help answer web-browsing-related questions for BlackBerry. Many new models of BlackBerries have a built-in HTML Internet Browser with full color image graphics. Unfortunately this does not apply to each and every BlackBerry. The purpose of this FAQ is to help get a person get a web browser up and running as quickly as possible.

My Web Browser Icon Is Missing!

This can happen if you've upgraded your BlackBerryOS, or if you delete your service books. This is the most common step to fix the problem via your BlackBerry:
Options Icon -> Host Routing Tables -> Register Now

Help! My Web Browser Still Didn't Show Up!

If the above instructions failed, try stepping through these instructions one by one

Try getting your service books retransmitted.
a. Login to your BlackBerry Web Client (BWC/BIS) site.
b. Click "Profiles" (At the top of your BWC webpage via your PC)
c. Click "Send Internet Browser Service Book"
Try rebooting your BlackBerry by removing and reinserting battery.
Make sure you are running Blackberry OS 4.0 by checking:
Check Options -> About
If you are not running at least Version 4.0, you need to download and install Blackberry OS 4.0then repeating all the above instructions again.
If that does not work, and you are on a Blackberry Enterprise Server, try re-activating your BlackBerry on BES. This may be as simple as connecting your BlackBerry to your PC and synchronizing your BlackBerry while Outlook is in ONLINE mode.

Help! I'm stuck with BlackBerryOS 3.7!

If you are not allowed to Upgrade to Blackberry OS 4.0, there is still hope. There's an unsupported method of doing this on BlackBerryOS 3.7. This is called the "RBRO trick". Follow these instructions:

Launch the WAP Browser
Click thumbwheel, select Options
You should now see a list containing "Browser Configuration" and "General Properties"
Type the following letters: RBRO
Click on "Browser Configuration" again.
Scroll down to "Constrained Content Mode" and then change "WMLOnly" into "Unconstrained"
Click scrollwheel and select "Save"
Click on "Browser Configuration" again. (Go back out and back in)
Scroll down to "Content Mode" and then change "WML Only" into "WML and HTML"
Click scrollwheel and select "Save"
Now you've got full HTML browsing on your BlackBerryOS 3.7 device!

Help! None Of The Above Works!

Unfortunately, some carriers don't want you to have a web browser yet. Try calling your carrier and asking nicely to get a full Internet Browser for your BlackBerry. There's an alternative. You can obtain third party web browsers:

What is NOL? What is T-Zones?

These are custom branded browsers for Nextel and T-Mobile.
NOL is the Nextel Online Browser for Nextel BlackBerries.
T-Zones is the T-Mobile web browser for T-Mobile BlackBerries.
This does not apply to you if you are using another carrier, such as Cingular.

Some of these custom branded browsers are simply renamed versions of the BlackBerry Internet Browser, while others are renamed versions of much-more-limited WAP browsers.

Nextel's NOL browser (as of March 2005) is still a limited-functionality browser, so many Nextel users find it necessary to purchase a third party browser, in order to gain more browsing functionality.

Help! My Web Browser Doesn't Display Any Pages, Only "Loading..."!

This is usually a configuration problem, but can be a server issue. Try the following:

Reboot your BlackBerry by removing and reinserting the battery.
Follow the instructions in section "Help! My Web Browser Still Didn't Come Back!" at the top.
Follow the instructions in Configuring Internet On BlackBerry
Test out a third party web browser.
Your BWC or BES might be a little slow. Try again a little later.

What's The Best Web Browser For Maximum Compatibility?

The best web browser for maximum compatibility is one that supports java script. You still won't be able to get a Blazer-style web browser, but you can dramatically improve the BlackBerry browsing compatibility. One way to get this is to use BlackBerryOS 4.0 on a BES 4.0 server (Either your own BES or through Hosted BES). This will allow to access more websites, including online banking websites. To maximize compatibility, go to:

This is the setting that you must change in order to have your DATA and INTERNET work properly on your iphone. When you stick the sim in the phone you must go and change these settings so your applications activate.

If you have the "unlimited internet w/VPN" on your employee account the APN you need to use is the "internet3.voicestream.com"

1st. you need to go on installer and get the "T-mobile AT EDIT"

2nd. after you install that you go to
settings>General>Network>cellular Data Network
when you get to to "cellular Data Network" go ahead and enter;
internet3.voicestream.com
leave the "user name" and "password" blank

thats all there is to it.

Voila..Your iphone now works on wow mobile!

This is a simple collection of settings for use with the T-Mobile (formerly VoiceStream) U.S.A. network. I have used these settings to configure my own GSM mobile phones and other devices such as PDAs and laptops. They may or may not be accurate at a given time and are compiled here in the hope that others may find them useful.

I have no affiliation with T-Mobile other than being a customer for several years.

T-Mobile GPRS settings (T-Mobile EDGE settings)

T-Mobile GPRS/EDGE settings for terminals (e.g., phone handsets). Some items are possibly Nokia-specific. I have found the authentication type can be either Secure or Normal. These settings should be useful for T-MobileWeb users.

                APN: wap.voicestream.com          IP address: 216.155.165.050

      Data bearer: GPRS            Username: [none]

   Password: [none] Authentication type: Secure Connection security: Off

APN is the GPRS Access Point Name.

T-Mobile GPRS/EDGE modem settings

T-Mobile GPRS/EDGE network settings when using a device as a GPRS "modem", that is, when "tethered" to another device. Examples include connection via Dial Up Networking (DUN) Bluetooth profile, or via Universal Serial Bus (USB). These settings should be useful for T-Mobile Internet users.

How To Set Up Your Iphone On WOW Mobile

Here is some helpful info for setting up your Iphone with T-Mobile.

You Should be able to make calls and do normal text messaging on your iPhone once you put your T-Mobile sim in it, as long the iPhone is unlocked. Be careful with plugging it into itunes or updating the software on your phone, as this will likely relock the phone!

If you do not already have an internet plan, call T-mobile or log into your T-mobile online account and make sure you have the Smart Phone Web feature, this is the one that is set up to work for the Iphone. Once you have a Internet data plan on your account, here’s how to set up the internet on your iPhone:

From the Main Menu, tap Settings.
Verify that Wi-Fi is set to Off -- this will ensure that no wi-fi signals are interfering with your Internet access. To take advantage of local wi-fi at a later time, feel free to go back and turn this setting On; just make sure to turn it Off again when you are done using the wi-fi network.
Tap General Settings, then tap Network.
Turn Data Roaming On -- this will allow your iPhone to locate T-Mobile’s data network.
If you see a setting for 3G, turn it Off -- the iPhone cannot currently connect to T-Mobile’s 3G network, and this setting will interfere with its attempt to connect to our EDGE network for service.
Tap Cellular Data Network (this setting may be labeled EDGE instead on older versions).
In the APN field, enter either epc.tmobile.com (or internet2.voicestream.com if that doesn't work) -- this tells T-Mobile which version of our Internet network you want to connect to.
Leave the Username and Password fields blank -- T-Mobile will assign this information based on your SIM card information.
Return to the Main Menu and open Safari to browse the Internet.

It can sometimes take 2 to 48 hours for Internet service to begin after adding the service to your account.

Also, the data plan associated with your iPhone comes with Free Unlimited T-Mobile HotSpots. To log in, use the following:

Username: ( Your 10-digit Cell Phone Number by default. This will be the number of the phone with the data plan.)

Password: ( The last four digits of your Social Security Number by Default. This will be the last four digits of the social security number of the primary account holder.)

This should enable you to log into WiFi hotspots and browse the internet on your iPhone!

If you are interested in adding Picture Messaging to your iPhone, here are the settings you’ll need to set it up. There are two ways to do picture messaging on the iPhone, the first is primarily for first generation iPhones and 3G iPhones that have not upgraded to the 3.0 firmware.

If you are unsure whether or not you have the 3.0 firmware you can navigate to Settings – General – About and view your firmware version under “Version”.

First generation iPhones and 3G iPhones that do not have the 3.0 firmware require the use of a 3rd party application for picture messaging. These settings should work just the same in any application you find for picture messaging.

Navigate to the Settings option of whichever program you’re using..
Enter the following information, these should be the only settings the program needs:
1. MMSC: 216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
2. Proxy: 216.155.165.050:8080
3. APN: wap.voicestream.com
4. Username: [Leave blank]
5. Password: [Leave blank]
Tap Save.

For 3G iPhones that have been updated to the 3.0 firmware, here are your settings:

Go to the Main screen.
Tap Settings.
Tap General.

Tap Cellular Data Network.
Enter the following information under the MMS section.
Enter wap.voicestream.com into the APN field. Backup setting: epc.tmobile.com
Leave the Username field blank.

WOW Mobile Iphone Tethering & SMS Settings

After days of delay, Dev Team finally released ultrasn0w, which allowed people with jailbroken iPhones running OS 3.0 to finally unlock their phone. The purpose? So people can use their iPhone on other carriers besides AT&T. In most people’s case inside the US, it’s to use on the T-Mobile carrier.

Once you do get things running, you’ll realize two things; MMS isn’t enabled by default and neither is Internet tethering. This quick tutorial will get your phone up and running so you can send MMS messages and tether your Internet with T-Mobile USA.

First we need to setup MMS (and internet too) by going to Settings then selecting General > Network > Cellular Data Network.

Under the first Cellular Data group, you’ll need to input the following information:

APN: internet2.voicestream.com
Username:
Password:

On some sites, you may see people tell you to put wap.voicestream.com. Doing this will send all your requests through the T-Zones service, which is much slower than Edge! Only internet2.voicestream.com unlocks the full power and potential of Edge.

Next, to setup MMS, you’ll need to put the following information under the MMS group:

APN: wap.voicestream.com
Username:
Password:
MMSC: http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
MMS Proxy: 216.155.165.50:8080
MMS UA Prof URL:

Now, restart your iPhone by holding the lock button and home button for about 15 seconds. Once your phone is back up you can go to the messages application and create a new text message to yourself. In this text message, press the picture icon and either take a new picture or select an existing picture. Select send and if all goes well you’ll not only successfully send a picture message, but also receive one.

The next step is to setup Internet tethering. Just as a warning some people have experienced some problems sending / receiving MMS messages after they do this, but I personally haven’t had any issues. If you do have this problem though, one way to fix it is by going to
Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

To get tethering setup, you’ll need to add T-Mobile as a carrier to your iPhone. To do so, just navigate to this URL on your iPhone:

It’ll ask you a couple of times if you want to install this carrier, just select yes each time until it’s installed. Once it’s installed reset your iPhone again like previously mentioned above. When the iPhone restarts, you can access the tethering options by going to Settings > General > Network > Internet Tethering.
